How long does a balayage appointment take?

Depending on hair length, density, and the chosen technique, expect the process to take between 2.5 and 4.5 hours. Balayage takes time – for the consultation, the careful freehand application, and the toning afterward. It's worth the time.

How often does balayage need to be refreshed?

This is one of the biggest advantages: Balayage grows back naturally and usually only needs to be refreshed every 3-6 months – significantly less often than classic root color or foil highlights.

Can I get balayage done on dark hair?

Yes, balayage is also possible on dark brown or black hair. Depending on the starting point, a gradual lightening process over several appointments may be necessary. During the consultation, we will discuss what result is realistic.

What is the difference between balayage and highlights?

Highlights are applied with foil, resulting in clearly defined, even strands. Balayage is painted freehand – the result is softer, more natural, and grows out much more harmoniously.
